I'm interested, if you don't mind shipping to the states.
Just let me know what shipping would be, and I'll use paypal on ebay.

Errm I think Johny was just alerting us - not advertising his auction. i.e. its not him selling it.

Ummm.... if I had that item on my watch list and someone other than the seller publicises the auction, I'd be a bit upset.

I would agree, and normally I would delete this kind of post for that reason but it is a "buy it now" only auction so nobody is going to be watching and waiting to bid.

Thanks for the heads up Johny.

Been on the look out for one of those for quite a while on and off!

Got it, thanks.

Aye..I have an early Trophy swing arm to go on too..
The type with the eccentric adjusters....

So I will see what I end up with with that combination & take it from there!

As an aside.....Anybody any comments on where I am likely to end up seat height-wise? :???:

Be interesting to gather some opinions on this, as TBH I am some way away from starting the job.

There is an impending house move for starters! :(

Nige,

The Triumph manual quotes 725mm as the seat height for the Legend and 750mm for the TBird / TBS - I presume these measurements are for the early TBird with the sub-frame designed for the key-operated seat.

It's been a while since I sat on a TBird/TBS side-by-side, but subjectively I thought the TBS had about 25mm higher seat than my TBird, so I suspect you'll add at least 25mm / 1 inch to the height, but probably more like 50mm / 2 inches.

I would say 25mm sounds about right - I noticed the back of my Tbird come up quite a bit when I fitted the TBS shock. the shorter Trophy swing arm might compensate for that some.

Thanks for the input, Mick....

Sounds 'do-able' anyway.

Might be some adjustment :hammer:
of swingarm / shock / centre stand equation required.
