Just a quick question. My tank on my Tbird is without the rubber pads. Anyone have a set sitting or know where they can find them?

You can buy them from Triumph, not horribly expensive $45-$55 dependant upon the style you choose...

<BR>yes - you should clean and de-wax the paint first (with some alcohol) but then you just peel off the backing and stick them in place. Warming the tank and pads a little with a hairdyer can help too.

You can use ones that have already been used but to stop them peeling you really need to remove the factory adhesive and use a contact cement to fix them on. This can be a little messy and it will mean that removing them will most likely require a repaint, but it cant be done and works well.
