I posted this in the club cafe forum as well, but I figured there might be someone here who could help me. I have an '05 thrux with the newbonneville Fender eliminator installed. For the past two weeks, the taillight has been going haywire. Every other day or so, the taillight will not work when the ignition is in the on position -- no running light, no brake light. All other lights work fine, turns, etc. However, when I move the ignition to the park position, the taillight does something even weirder - the running light still won't work, but when I hit the brakes, front or back, the brake light switches on. Even weirder, there will be other days where it works perfectly a-ok. and it seems like the ***** thing is on a timer, because it always takes a whole day to sort itself out.

I've replaced bulbs, checked wiring to the harness, replaced fuses, all to no avail. any ideas?

Can't help you with your question but nice to see a local Bonnie owner!

Good luck with the fix. Lots of knowledgeable folks on this site so I'm sure you'll get some help.

Sounds like a grounding problem to me.If the light grounds thru its body and the elim. kit uses the stock rubber mount fender bolts you will get a sporadic ground. :???:
