It's not like I haven't used Professor Google...and I've read the T120 luggage thread...but I can't seem to find luggage racks for my 2017 T100 Black that are black, and clearly fit.

Union Garage has a set, but looks like they only fit 2016 and prior years: http://uniongaragenyc.com/shop/motorcycle-bags-racks/saddlebag-supports-for-triumph-bonneville

I've tried the US Triumph site, and they only show chrome and say "see your dealer": https://shop.triumphmotorcycles.com/luggage/id-A9518218/Pannier_Rail_Kit,_Left

Plenty of Chinese one-offs on Ebay, but would rather avoid crap: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Saddlebag-Support-Guardrail-Pannier-Rail-for-Triumph-Bonneville-SE-T100-02/263072825703?_trkparms=aid=555018&algo=PL.SIM&ao=2&asc=50999&meid=335cf4fdd053414e8fbd95e37f182c85&pid=100005&rk=1&rkt=12&sd=152229920924&itm=263072825703&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Any ideas? I suppose I can order through my dealer, but then they actually make you schlep there to pick them up. Rather just order and have delivered to install myself at home.

While we're at it, I'm planning on installing a pair of these. I have a Kriega tailbag and it's excellent. Any experience with their saddle bags? https://kriega.us/duo-28 (photos from Kriega's site)

Not sure that Rentech is for saddlebags tho...

I can't be the only 2017 T100 rider looking to mount side bags. Or am I?

OK, I missread your original post. I also have luggage mounted and went through he same frustration. The Kriega bags you show are saddlebags, i.e. they have straps connecting the two sides so they can be 'thrown' over (or under) the seat and the frame carries most of the weight directly. All you need is frames to hold the bags away from the wheels, essentially ones like Triumph's. I got mine off eBay. I'm attaching three photos of my bike. The first (not sure if they'll show in the correct order) is fully loaded (road quite well), the second unloaded that show the side 'racks', and a third that zooms. The one I ordered off fleabay included a short (3") bar with a hole at each end, for mounting between the bottom lug of the rack and the rear foot peg. That pushes the upper tube of the rack into a more horirzontal position. However I didn't like the final position of the rack so I fabricated my own extension bar (about 4 1/2") out of 1/8" x 1" aluminum bar (from TrueValue or the like). I then powder coated it black so it matched everything else. If you look very closely at the bottom picture you can see it, though with everything black it's tough to see. Using this technique you can make almost any similar design rack fit. Regardless I'd look for one from as late as possible.

The only true 'racks' I know of for the late model T100s are the Hepco-Beckers https://www.motomachines.com/Hepco-Becker-Side-Carrier-for-Triumph-Bonneville-T100-T120-17-_p_5720.html?_vsrefdom=adwords&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxN_XBRCFARIsAIufy1bidqwltaxU0zC21jJNX7G0sTs2SECPQtv3Ap5CU31jXXwiOT9cxSkaAmbBEALw_wcB.
Givi and a few others make something but they're really pretty wimpy compared to the dual-sport racks or the Hepco-Becker.

The Triumph mounting rack looks like chit and all it lets you do is mount throwover bags. if you wanted to put real motorcycle bags on, there are Easy Brackets. You bolt the bracket onto the back of the bag then mount the bracket onto the rail they supply. Quickly detachable. The mounting rail is black:

http://www.greatbikegear.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?q=T100

Then there is Longride.be

http://longride.be/bag/mounting-bracket-click-on-saddlebags-triumph-bonneville/190

This hardware allows you to use their quick lock system. Not sure if the have the bracket in black. If they sell the quick lock piece by itself, you could mount it to a non Longride bag.

I agree with you on the appearance of the Triumph racks, but you missed the OP has a 2017. Triumph changed the location of the rear rack mounting lugs that year so earlier versions won't fit. It's the two per side threaded mounts by the seat latch that have changed, probably when they went to a locking latch mechanism. Thus the first one you list clearly won't fit and the second one is unlikely to. I spent a lot of money and returned a lot of products before I finally learned that. That's the dilemma for us with 2017 and later bikes - nothing really nice fits!

I fitted the Triumph top box rack this weekend and fitted my old Givi Top box rack with 4 spacers and it works a treat. I have the chrome one but Triumph do it in black as well.
I recon you could get the Givi pannier rack to fit as they seem to use 'U' bolts around the rack tubes. I know mines a T120 but should work the same, I did quite a lot of research before I brought mine. I don't like the way the Black plastic rack wobble when they have a box on top.

All super helpful, but Desertbum, you clearly get the 2017 dilemma! (And you like to treat your bike like a pack mule, too).

Given the limited options, I’m calling the dealer today and will likely just bite the bullet and have them order the OEM Triumph ones. I assume they’ll have black ones that fit the 2017. Will report back with pictures.

Hi JRider,

I have those Kriega bags on my '17 T100. I like them a lot. I have side supports and luggage rack from https://www.fehling.de/ both are not required. You can just use the side supports. They fit really well with the Kreiga bags. I did not even have to tinker with strap length to get them to work.

I wish I'd found those Kriega bags before I bought mine. Also am impressed with those Fehling racks - may have to change out mine. Price looks good too.

Website kind of pointless as they don't show example pictures of any of the racks on any of the bikes. Could you snap a few of your setup please? For now, the factory saddlebags and supports are fine with Kriega supplements that tie right onto the T120 seat but sometime down the road I may consider something more substantial. So far the Kriega soft luggage system (I think I have 30+20+20) is plenty for 2 week trips on the VFR.

Ah but they do. First be sure to click on the American/British flag in the upper right to get things into English, then select products/prices, the Bikemodels, and there you will find Triumph. That will bring up a list of the various models and products for each one. On the left end of each product line is a link to a photo of the item on the bike:

I was working with Great Bike Gear to design Easy Bracket mountings for the T120 but they delayed the project to work on mountings for HD.

I have newly released longride.be mountings for my 2017 t120. Don’t know if they would fit the 2017 t100. These bags are 22L each, a compromise between tiny pouches and Trekker or Hepco Becker.
