Curious what owners of the current 955 models have done to upgrade front and rear suspension. Not sure what stock feels like, but interested if anyone has replaced front internals or went with a different rear shock. Have an 03 in my sights and was considering using if for the occasional track day.

Also, how about the brakes. How is the stock feel - any upgrades?

Ohlins internals by PPS up front.

Attack Performance rear linkage in the back with an Ohlins Rear system.

I was thinking about upgrades for the '05 I have, until I got help in setting the stock suspension up. It really works great since then. There seems to be a real shortcoming in parts for this bike. Ohlins rear will be the replacement for the stockers for me when it wears out, whcih will probably be in 10 years or so!

Hey, fivehundo...

How do you like the Attack rear linkage compared to stock? If you don't mind me asking, what did it set you back?

It rides a little rougher than a stock setup but it handles A LOT better. The adjustable preload is handy too. It has a knob that bolts to the passenger peg bracket so you can just reach back and grab it.

The linkage is no longer being produced and they said it would be $800 to make from scratch. The Ohlins 46HRCLS uni-track rear is $799.99. Mine came with the bike so I got off easy...

Thanks for the info, fivehundo...

I have a Penske shock, but (not because I need it, just because I want it) I was just wondering about the Attack linkage. I had looked at their website and it wasn't listed as available...Now I know why.

Not worth it if you ask me.

The guy who owned my bike before me must have known someone or something.

Will fork springs for the 99-01 Daytona 955i fit in the 02-03+ models? In particular, I am looking to upgrade the springs in my 02' to something a bit stiffer (0.90 kg/mm), and can not find a lot of options off the shelf. Hyperpro has a set listed, but does not give spring rates. In the past I have had good experience with RaceTech. Or, does anyone have the measurements (length, diameter) of stock springs in order to cross referance them with another bike? I would rather not tear the forks apart without having new springs in hand, but if its necessary... Any shared experiences and insight is appreciated.
