Received my stainless fork seal holders for my 68 tr6c. There is no groove milled in these for the standard O-ring placement. Do I need to take these to a machine shop now?? Seems the o-ring does the important job of preventing oil from working past threads and down outside of sliders.

:nod However, before having them machined, check the thread on the sliders you have. Alongside a change of thread notionally in '69, ime threads aren't always cut deeply enough in all stainless seal holders. :(

Hth.

Thanks for replies. Might just go the loctite route for startets. Fork reassembly isnt terribly complicated...but for the inconsistecy of these aftermarket parts! I should stop being surprised/disappointed.
