Hi Guys, I just bought a renthal 40t rear sprocket for the 1200 1996. Its got a 42t standard.
I contacted a dealer who said only a 42t or larger was avaible.

I was looking fro a 39t as my gas mileage is crap.(or fit a lighter right hand) My best bet is to buy a 20t front if I can get one. Anyone know of a U.K. supplier 20t front or 39t rear.

Thanks in advance.

Sprocket Specialists have a chart on their web site that lists a 39 to 48 rear and a 19 / 18 / 17 front as the limits of the range.
What is your mpg ? I know with mine the economy immeditaly improved just with replacement of all the vacum and fuel tubing.

My Gas milage

My MPG is very poor. Yes I know its mostly my fault!

I have done all my riding on a race track. Ive only been on the road for three and a half years. My driving instructor would radio me to pull in while the other students caught up.

I just cant stop opening the thing up when I can.
I just dont see any reason to do 60- 70 when I can do 100-110 (closed road my ar$e) .

Im getting 100 miles to a tank on the 1200. and 67 a tank on the 1050 speed triple. I havent tested the trophy 900 "single headlight".

I dont care how bad the other bikes are, But I bought the 1200 for long distance. If its hard on fuel I might as well ride something else.
