Anyone know the standard preload and damping setting for a Sprint Sport?
My manual only covers up to 1996 so I was gonna' just use the Daytona/Speed-Triple settings but when I had a squiz at the manual at the local dealer the SS had different fluid to the Daytona and Speed Triple so maybe the settings are different too.
Thanks .... Clem

Standard settings are:

Preload 5
Rebound (top of fork leg) 6
Compression (bottom of fork leg) 6

This is counting the clicks anti-clockwise back from maximum damping, which is adjusters turned fully clockwise. for a softer ride, try 6,9 and 8 respectively.

According to my Haynes manual, they are the same as Daytona and Speed Triple.

Cheers,

Roden

Owners hand book says..

Front:
Standard 5 preload,6 rebound,6 Compression
Softer 6 preload, 9 Rebound, 8 Compression
Firmer 4 preload, 4 rebound, 3 compression

Rear:
Ignore the book wind preload up to near max or max same for the damping adjuster ;-)

Remember those are only guide lines and if your oil is off of springs/seals shot it won't mean a lot.
