Hello all,
I have a '98 Sprint Executive and like many early Sprints,
the kickstand is about 2 inches too short. Hell, the bike almost
falls over when you put it on the kickstand. I went to bike bandit
because Triumph addressed the issue with a longer kickstand.
Well, there are no less than 3 kickstands available with nothing
saying which is the longer, the shorter, or whatever. I would
appreciate any info from the genius section out there on which
is which. Otherwise, I'll just take it off, cut it, and weld in a
section that will cure the problem. I'm the lazy type and would
rather just buy one, but, I'll do whatever I have to do.
Any comments or help ?

Is it short or is the pivot worn out? They lean way over with a sloppy pivot. Years ago I drilled my pivot out to accept a hardware store brass bushing that I easily replace occasionally.

No, many of the early Sprints came from the factory with a kickstand
much too short. Triumph realized this and offered an optional alternative.
I'm looking for one of those. The pivot is strong and unworn.
