Got mine today too...I also have a new speed triple which needs a bolt replacing in its rear caliper..as I live 20 miles from dealer I suggested they might want to collect both bikes in their shiny van.....no way jose says the dealer. We would be running round all day picking bikes up. Hmmm doesn't say much about Triumph's reliability.

In the end I've offered to pay for the collection...Triumph really need to get their act together on customer service. I bought the sprint new in 05 and the speed triple in July 06 (it was new in March).

About 17k worth of bikes and they can't even collect for free when its their own fault.

Both bikes have suffered electronic faults such as throttle failing to close fully - quite exciting first time it happened as I changed down for a hairpin and nearly blasted into the back of a bus - and also both bikes for overheating.Sprint has also had its rear light cover replaced under warranty, apparently its fairly common fault.

Real shame because speed triple is an absolute blast with a massive grin factor and sprint is a super tourer.

How on earth can a manufacturer be to blame because a dealer wont collect your bikes :???:

The dealer manages his own business and you are THEIR customer just as he is a custmer of Triumph and pays for his bikes from them

Sorry mate I agree with the last, the dealer is the person to get on at not Triumph, they do the notifications and supply the parts to the dealer, there the ones who should collect and do the work, if your dealer wants to keep your custom its up to them to look after you, my experience of uk dealers is also not good, in europe Germany and France they look after the customer in UK they seem to think they are doing you a favour selling you a bike!

Hey yeah wouldn't THAT be cool, a product goes bad and they come and get it from you, unfortunately life ain't like that. It a good job folk don't think that way about everything .....hmmm..........my DVD player went wrong in warranty but Dixons won't come and get it!! Shame on you Sanyo!
This baby buggy has a wobbly wheel but Mothercare say IIII have to take it to THEM!! what a cheek!
This packet of biscuits is stale and Tescos just laughed at me when I asked them to pop round and pick them up.....I'm never buying McVites ever again.
Ahhhhh grow up! Triumph issued a recall as the last fella stated, you wouldn't have known anything if they hadn't done that (not all vehicle manufacturers are so diligent) all you have do do is go for a bleeding bike ride (oh no not a bike ride) and sit in the pub for a bit while they fix it for you for free!!! It's a hard life init! :knkknk:

the recall on the suspension is Triumph being ultra careful, which is good. My mate rode his bike to the dealer for the fix and took the new 1050 Tiger for a 2 hour ride thru Wales. Seems good to me. All manufacturers have recalls for minor items,it's no big deal. Triumph quality is up there with the best and generally dealer customer service is also very good. I'm on my 5th bike and have had very little go wrongmy next bike will be another Triumph,in fact I'm not really interested in any other manufacturer probably cos I really like the triple engine (characteristics and sound).
