Time to Re-Spring my front Suspension; so I purchased Race Tech Gold Valves and .90 kg Fork Springs for my 2002 Sprint ST.

I'm now looking for seals and oil.

I was hoping you-all (country boy in me) might help me locate the best prices and set-up.

So with that in mind:

What are you paying for Fork Seals for a 99-04 Sprint?
Where did you purchase them?

On a more subjective note: For those weighing between 150-190 lbs and consider themselves a relatively aggressive Iron-butt Rider, what viscocity oil are you using? Would you change the viscocity if you did it again?

Thanks for your insights

But don't they have a choice of spring rates for the same $ ?

I just noticed today that my fork springs are starting to settle a bit, after a few thousand miles. A sort of self-adjusting, though they're just gradually losing their tension to a small degree. They were too stiff anyway.

jeffster,

You are correct, but I bought a new set of gold valves and springs on ebay for $170 delivered to the door. The gold valves alone are a buck fifty through Race Tech.

Since I was going to modify them anyway, figured I'd take advantage of a good steal. Moreover, I have a tendancy to prefer suspension on the firm side. Worse case scenerio, I might be able to go with a lighter viscocity oil in order to assist in reducing a bit of the stiffness. Not totally sure yet, so I'll do a little research on suspension settings.

Anybody know the part#'s and good prices for Fork Seals on an 02 ST?
