You didn't get the sensor put back on quite right. Chances are your speedo sensor is dying anyway. They don't last forever and are probably the weakest part of the whole bike. If you are going to have a weakness at all, the speedo sensor is a good choice since it's not too big a deal. It's expensive to replace, though.
