I am a new guy on here......have a couple of bikes , just got an 06 Bonneville T 100 Black, I have put 700 miles on her, I got her with 300. I had a whirring , clicking sound going on from up in front and the clicking sound seemed under the tank then the speedo/ odometer went out as I topped 1000 miles. Cable ? Any advice or suggestions are welcome. My other bike is a 68 BSA A50 converted to 650.......very cool and loud but gotta wrench as much or more than I ride. I am thrilled to now have a bike I can JUST ride. Thx

Try lubing the cable with white lithium grease - and shoot some in the wheel end. Cable can be slid out of sheathing from the wheel end and lubed up.
