I can't warm up to the Speed Twin sticker on the side panels... I have tried... I've tried imagining them as cool looking or even Iconic, No, they just look cheap... They gotta go.

Has anyone tried to remove them yet?
Will a heating them get it done? or, do they have a coat of clear paint over them?

One way or another... preferably the least expensive way, I would like for my bike to stop looking like there is a Mattel sticker stuck somewhere else on it.

I thought they were clearcoated, if so, you'll not be able to remove them using a hair dryer. Take a closer look and let us know.

Cleared. You'll need to wet sand & recoat the covers if you want to properly debadge them.

I don't know, the T120 badge is on the plastic engine cover so can you sand and recoat a plastic part and still have it look good? I would guess (hope?) eventually someone will make a replacement part without the badging.

I'd like to put on something like this on those side panels
I was considering something like that also that also.
I can't seem to find much more than skulls and flaming skulls... The skull thing has been so overdone.

Probably cheaper just to buy new panels than having them professionally repainted.
Can't find pricing on current panels, but 2014 bonneville panels are $140 each.

Another suggestion: Use these vinyl ones in plain black over the top.

and provided you can get an exact size match they should look original but be a lot less prominent.
Spotted gloss black vinyl on eBay under £6 could be cut to shape of inner panel or a shape to hide original put your own sticker on top.Peel off if you need to at a later date.
If any one cuts the shape out can they scan a copy and post it here

I sanded off the stickers today and I am doing a mock-up of an idea.
I checked out the Mototrio side panels, I like them a little bit, but, I am trying out a different idea... I would like a little feedback if you guys wouldn't mind.

I have the templates for both the left and right sides on my computer and will document the whole process if anyone else would like to venture into this mod.

I will be drilling 7/8" holes (22mm) [ame]http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-D180014IR-IMPACT-READY-8-Inch/dp/B002LFGKOW/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464289939&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=milwaukee+impact+hole+saw+7%2F8+inch[/ame]

I am waiting on the stainless steel screen to put on the inside, I purchased a couple of different options from Ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-S...857202?hash=item1a1369e6f2:g:TqIAAOSwgQ9Vz9yQ and http://www.ebay.com/itm/261996971760?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
I will use shoe goo to temporarily bond them in, in case I want to change it out later.
On the Mototrio side panels, it looks like they used an aluminum expanded metal backing, To me it kind of looks cheap.

For the paint, because I have the matte finish, I am using Hot Rod Black automotive paint - [ame]http://www.amazon.com/SEM-HR010-Hot-Rod-Black/dp/B008K1FX5I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1464290517&sr=8-1&keywords=hotrod+paint[/ame]

I kind of wanted a final hole to make a triangle shaped vent but the attach points won't allow the last hole.

That looks great! I'm not too fond of the font on the side covers. I'd like to get rid of those at some point, I might be interested in doing something like this.
