She had a relatively brief Hollywood career in the 1960s, appearing in several movies, the best remembered of which are probably 'Major Dundee', opposite Charlton Heston, and 'The Quiller Memorandum' opposite George Segal. She also did some TV, including an episode from 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.' Her publicity people claimed, justifiably I suspect, that she had the same vital statistics as Sophia Loren, albeit that she was 3" shorter.
For some reason she never got along too well with the Hollywood moguls and in the late 60s made a conscious decision to return to her native Austria, where, as well as in Germany and Italy, she enjoyed a long and successful career on stage and as a film producer. She did do another Peckinpah movie, however, in 1977, called 'Cross of Iron", with James Coburn and Maximillian Schell.
A very lovely lady.
