Just a plug, I have this (and added the back protector for it) and love it. I used it during a two week trip from Seattle, WA, to the Grand Canyon, and then up the Coastal highway. It was perfect in cold in the mountains (with the liner), and then hot in Death Valley (it was November, so I don't think it was warmer than 33C). Plus... it's not black... so it doesn't get too hot in the sun.

Thanks! Yes, I did loads of research and decided on this. Perfect for every day riding and also touring, like your trip. It has the removable liner and vents for the summer and a warm liner and waterproof membrane for colder days. I was bummed it didn’t fit after ordering from the UK. Hopefully someone comes to the rescue!

I sugest that you have a few more pies & beers to get to fit ;-)
or a thick shirt underneath. [ a thick back protector .?]
I have a Merlin jacket - and get on well with it.

i wish that’d do the trick but I’m running 50+ miles / week so hard to put on any weight no matter how many pies or pints! Bummer cause I like the Merlin.

What are your measurements? I am looking at this jacket but not sure which size I need. I am 5'8" 165-170. Chest is about 40 maybe a little under.

I’m 5’7” 140 and a runner. I think this size would fit you well but unfortunately I sold this one a long time ago. Need to update.
