[Triple_Rider]

I ha ve a small oil leak that runs down my side stand. Nothing too serious as I have not had to add any oil, but it bugs me. I checked all the bolts on the pan around there, they're all tight. can't figure it out, any ideas? BTW it only seems to leak while it's running

Do you have an automatic chain oiler fitted? Have seen quite a few that throw too much lube on the chain and it builds up under the front sproket cover and leaks out all over the stand area.

look behind the starter, You will see a sensor that looks like a spark plug in the crank case with a thin black wire coming straight out the top.
Look from the left side it is easier to see.
You should be able to see oil pooling around the sensor.

I had the same issue, It got worse after time.

I took it to the dealer and they cut the wire to tighten sensor and spliced it back together.

yep TR, there are a few guys on here that have had that prob, take it to yer dealer, they should sort it out fer ya!

It's a little dirty in there, but theres no oil. it looks like it's coming form where the side stand bolts up to the engine case. Behind what I think is the waterpump there are three bolts that hold the side stand on. The bolts are tight but one of them is unreachable unless I take the waterpump cover off. I'm guessing that'll cause a spill. It seems to only leak while its running. It leaves a little oil spot where it rests on the side stand- not too drastic, but it bugs me and most likely will only get worse.
