note the tuning for the peg position.

also, the up position stop clears the side cases by 3/8", so in the event of a slide, in theory, it should protect the cases.

breakaway angle mimics the stock operator pegs

the peg (3/4" pipe) hinge is 1/2' pipe with a 5/8" rod bored to 3/8" for a 3/8 bolt pivot...with up and down stops. it should saves side cases and bottom of engine from any maniac who misuses this machine contrary to strict Triumph literature to the contrary.

this is progressing towards a dual sport T100C-TT-ish. next tires will be a bit more dirt aggressive.

did you fab them or have someone do them for you?

long before parts catalogues...we made stuff ourselves...sitting around the fire...coyotes howling in the distance...this was well before addiction to electricity...

:asb:
I think it's a sin these skills have been lost to consumerism.
...and I saw the Billy Bars...they didn't make it for me. these are better.

this started out as bad knees and a forward relief position...then on the horizon's unlimited site, I saw some folks talking the Scrambler up as an "around the world" mount...the high pipes make luggage tricky...so the pegs became a skid plate before I was done.

I had to run out for some 3/8 X 2 bar stock, but everything else I had laying around...so the cost out of pocket was maybe $20 for steel.
I saw rediculous prices for Triumph passenger pegs ($100/per)...and the local bike junk yard didn't have anything that matched...so I ended up making what I wanted as far as pegs for zip.

the oil filter (Pure One) sticks down sufficiently to make a skid plate a must for jumping barbed wire or even that odd stick on the road...the one the front tire kicks up and ends up thru the filter.

I call this belligerent bash plate/peg set-up, "wicked mambo"

nice part is from a distance, you don't even notice it...the lines all blend with the Triumph styling...looks like a factory option.

HEY TRIUMPH...ARE YOU LISTENING?

>More pics please! <

I know the picture quality is poor, but to show how this blends in with bike style

peg location is just about centered at the starter motor shaft

now the critical...filter protection and clearance with a Pure One ...a tad longer than the original Triumph Japper one...and filter is still fairly accessable ...with 4 bolts the plate drops off for access.
