A year passed by and I didn't ride my 2004 Thruxton at all. I didn't plan on letting it go that long so I didn't drain the gas tank or add a stabilizer.

The other day I drained the bad gas, charged the battery and started it up. Now the right cynlinder is missing and backfiring out the carb. The bike ran perfectly before the hiatus.

I've checked the plugs, vacuum lines, loose wires etc. I guess I'll have to pull the carbs and give them a good cleaning.

Anyone have this happen to them or know where the problem lies?

You might be able to get away with spraying some carb cleaner in there. Worth a try before to go full bore. Be careful with the over spray.

I notice that that you live in L.A, please Pm me with your address so I can come over personally flog you for not riding Your Thruxton in over a year. :-D
