I'm fairly new to bonnies so I don't know that much about the seating options, but so far I certainly like the cafe racer seat look. That, and I will almost always ride alone so I'd prefer a single seat.

I've looked at tons of pictures/posts/and searched threads, but I've yet to find a clear answer to which seat would work best for me. Anyone else have experience or found a comfortable alternative to the stock seat in this style?

This is the look I'm going for.

If you could, please post a link to the seat/site to buy it. I'm new to cycles so the jargon/terms/websites go straight over my head.

Thanks so much!

That looks like the mas race seat. Now discontinued. May be able to find one used. I have the triumph singe seat. Not the one with the rack. Also called the sixty eight seat. Uber comfy. No more numb-butt. Somewhat cafe. Matches the stock lines well.

Nicest one I've seen yet is offered by Spain's '8Negro Speed Parts' as found on the 8Negro Triumph blog. One of the forum members has posted a pic of his bike somewhere on the forum with the 8negro cafe seat on. Really sleek.

+1 for Triumph solo seat

I too have the Triumph solo seat (along with a Scram Gel seat for 2up) and can attest it is MUCH better that stock.

Corbin Smuggler

Personally, I like my Corbin Smuggler. However, I understand there may have been some quality control/customer service issues, recently. Do a search for the Corbin Smuggler and you will see the thread.

Look at the Corbin gunfighter seat. Mine is very comfortable - cost $400. Exceptional quality - made in late 2007. Ridden 15,000 miles on it. Still as good as the day it was made

Thanks for all the responses. The Corbins look really nice but a bit over budget. I'll probably just go for the official single seat, as it's not too pricey and achieves a better look.

If you're not in too much of a rush, seats of all shapes show up in the classifieds here as well as on ebay.

BTW, Johnston SC is very near Augusta and there are a few more of us around if you'd like to meet up.

Awesome, would love to meet up sometime. My bike is coming from Nashville, I'll have it in a month, can't wait. I'll probably be patient and search for a single seat around here. It seems they hold their value well though, as new seats cost about as much as I've seen used seats for sale.
