I love the tank strap with the Jet Black Thrux. Looks so perfect since the tank doesn't have the stripe painted. I love how classy, retro, yet aggressive your bike looks.
Here's my mine... Basically done, but for my black rear sprocket I'm waiting on... And for someone to make a cool 2-into-1.
List:
Ribbed brushed engine badges
Black skid plate
Black oil filler cap
Black head-bolt covers
Brushed logo throttle body covers
Black intake covers
Black finned header clamps (not installed yet)
Black headlamp ring/bezel from T-120
Front & Back Short LED signals
Fender Removal Kit
Black oval bar-end mirror left only
Matte Black short windscreen
Black aluminum sport chain guard
Knee pads
Low Handlebar Kit

Beautiful bike, if I opted for the R I definitely would've gotten the same color as you. I'm waiting for the B/C fender eliminator kit to come out then change the signals with their retro style.
I also ordered the black V & H exhaust with black headers, still waiting since June for them to come in.

Thanks! When I see your bike, I sometimes wish I got the Black 1200. It's just got this certain class that I love! But I'm really happy with mine... Hey, I may be getting the Triumph "Sport" LED signals for my bike. (I should know this Monday via my UK contact. I'm just waiting on warehouse availability. SHOCKER!) If you would like, I'll sell you all 4 of mine for $100. I still have the factory boxes and everything. They are as good as new. But I won't know until my UK contact can get the other ones, obviously. Should be very soon though, supposedly... And yeah, black headers & V&H pipes will be perfect on yours... I'm doing the same if no one comes out with a cool 2-into-1 by next spring. Cheers.
Thanks, I'm very happy with it although I sometimes think I should've gotten the R to future proof myself in case I ever wanted to go to the track one day. Anyway thanks for the offer to buy you lights, I'm curious what the " Triumph sport signals" look like, I haven't heard of them. Do you have a link to see what they look like.

They are listed for the Street Twin. But I think they might fit my bike a little better since I have the black headlamp bezel, USD Brass/gold forks, and neon yellow rear springs, ha!

Definitely sport looking, I would hold off selling your stock lights until you live with the new signals for a bit. I'm curious how it would look though, post some pics when you get them. I think I'm gonna stick with the retro B/C style for my bike , thanks.
I love how many options for mods there are, that's what it's all about.

Enjoy!

@SirCuffsalot Nice! I've been following the same theme as you with my black Thrux but I have not yet decided which of the small detail mods that I'm going for. Triumph sure knows how to charge for that stuff... But the low bars and other mirrors (Rizoma Spy-R) are probably up next on my todo.

Fairly standard so far. The only mods are:
Rizoma Club indicators front/rear on Mototrio brackets
Mototrio FEK
V&H off-road cans

Nice looking bikes, hope you keep posting pics of the black Thruxtons. Ive ordered the R so it will be matte black but like the jet black better. Ill post pics when it delivers.

@cjporteous: Your black Thruxon looks fantastic. The tank band matches perfectly.

Here is my green/brown setup.

LED indicators
Heated grips
Brown comfort seat
Brown leather tank strap
custom brake reservoir cap
1-inch gps ball mount
and a Union Jack ;)
Love the green and brown combination, it definitely stands apart from the crowd of Harley's and sport bikes.

FYI if you don't like where the ball mount is check out how I changed out my stem nut to accommodate a Ram stem mount perfectly if you don't like the position or where you have it. I just thought the center was a perfect spot for a phone or GPS.
How comfortable is the single comfort seat? I was thinking of adding it to mine with a cowl.

Added some $10 LEDs

I've used these cheep-o LEDs on prior projects and despite their low cost, they're good quality, weather-proof and super-bright (bright AF!!). Had to fashion brackets for the rear and make the wire-pass holes in the front larger but they really slimmed down the bike and with Ryan Sterling's fantastic FEK thread w/ wiring diagram, they're working. Nod to Corsa Technic for connectors (they have everything and even sent me a nice decal for my toolbox - I'll never go anywhere else for electrical bits!)

Below are some pics of today's LEDs and here's a list of 'mods so far'
  • Lowered the bike by adding sag to the rear and sliding the clamps down the tubes about an inch.
  • Had the seat foam taken all the way down to the pan, then added about 3/8" HD foam - that's my padding - I'm good for 5 hours and flat-footed.
  • Replaced the grandpa clip-on risers for the low version, because I think I'm a lot younger than I am, but surprise! Way more comfortable!
  • Added a flyscreen from ebay - discovered severe buffeting above 80 so made it taller with some flat-shield - now it's good for ton-up : -)
  • Next I'll be moving the license plate and tail light inboard and getting rid of the big thing sticking out the back - not calling it a FEK as I'm not eliminating the fender (Oregon rains) but replacing it with a hugger and will be fashioning the bits myself so it's not a 'kit' either.

An important modification I haven't seen on here yet is a horn upgrade to fend off texters. With the fairing it was easier to find a spot to hide two loud FIAMMs I had kicking around once supplied brackets were modified, I have them bolted to the fairing framework. They poke up just a little bit but don't take away from the bike. Obviously added a sub-harness to feed these. No more "meep meep"!

After melting a finger of my gloves this morning while checking the extra-low-and-loud-horn I fitted a month ago, I decided to wrap the headers with the fibreglass wrap I bought a few days ago:

Horny stuff!
