Well, it is nearly 20yo so was a little tired. I have gone to town on it, a LOT of time and money spent to go right over it, servicing/repairing/refinishing/upgrading bits and pieces as i go, after i stripped it right down. A lot of new/NOS parts fitted.

It rides beautifully and is even pumping out a very healthy146whp after dyno tuning. Fork spring upgrades and D675 master cylinder have really transformed the bike.
Who dyno tuned it? I don't suppose you could share the graph, if you have it?

Blue line is after dyno tuning, red line is custom map i had loaded which was developed on another bike. Biggest improvements which your won't see here is partial throttle on/off smoothness and afr correction at cruise. Previously it was a little snatchy and surgy and (feedback from dyno) ran very rich at cruise speeds. Fuel economy is very good now.

I was going to port the throttle bodies before sending it in but ran out of time. It's standard aside from airbox mod, KN filter, slip-on and brisk ar10zs plugs. o2 sensor removed. Limiter is raised by 400rpm.

Top end is super strong, pulls right to the limiter. It's still building power when the it hits the limiter. As such i don't think their derived engine speed is quite right, i think it's reading a little lower.

Very nice project.
I see the bars are mounted above the top yoke. I didn't know that was possible on these bikes. I guess the forks have been pulled through to make it possible. Better make sure there's enough clearance for the mudguard on full compression.
I hadn't even noticed. I'll be putting them back to standard when I rebuild the shocks. Pretty much every other bike I've owned was in this configuration so thanks for pointing it out. 👍

Edit: I just had to go out & look. The bars are below the yoke. To be honest, the photo was taken by the previous owner, not me but at first glance, it does look like the bars are above the yoke, but if you zoom in, you can see the fork stanshion just proud of the yoke by around 3mm.

Here's another photo from a different angle.

Hey Mr. @Roddster !!! Clicked what thinking may be pix, but links somehow migrate to Helmet Forum (which I sadly don't need due to thickened skull)!?!?! Will you please say or redo what's done to check it out - if posting pix, here's a little thing on it - let me know if I missed some steps...

Click/ tap "Photo Icon" above chat box
Click Photo Box that opens
Choose photo (be sure photos enabled on your device)
Wait to finish loading before posting
- or -

- "Copy" pic
"Paste" to Chat Box
Wait to fully load before posting...
Depending on device & connection speeds (and photo size) - If pic taking over about a minute to fully load, tap "Chat Box" - this may 'force' pic into place. Thanks man!!! 13

This was before the MIVV its an SP engineering can very small very loud and got me an ASBO here in the UK .

Will this well dressed rider be Asbo'd for not wearing a seatbelt?

Your bike doesn't look a day over 20, a child! Not certain how/ if following applies to your area in UK, but could find out - in U.S. there are written guidelines for 'acceptable' exhaust and other sound levels (measured with a decibel meter within a certain sensitivity & calibration range, from a pre-determined position & distance from sound source, with certain dimensions of outer testing area met, etc.) - in 20/20 hindsite (but maybe for future) familiarize with what rules may apply in your area - pick up a decibel meter & tripod of acceptable standard to your local rules, and video record your sound reading effort as determined there - be certain to capture bike & exhaust in any vid made?

Maybe yule (it's Christmas) have an idea of if okay, so if there is an ASBO misunderstanding later - you could defend your preference in exhaust music.

As far as could be seen & heard, loud pipes don't necessarily save lives, but they do get people seen - which sure hurts less than the old "I didn't see him" excuse claimed after many collisions (with all due respect to those sensitive ears - seeking solitude near public roads made for m o t o r i n g - there's plenty of relative quiet with earplugs, and at home, the library or the graveyard if craving heavenly long-term rest)?!?!

To be honest in the UK the Asbo is the last resort for a cop that cannot prove you did anything its based on an opinion and not an offence as such.

I also feel that I didn't pass the attitude test very well but what ever its a sort of badge of honour :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
