LOL no. But When I lived in Austria they were everywhere. Those bikes were ahead of their time with the whole 'lightweight twin adventure bike' thing"t_rex" - Did you ever ride a yamaha TRX? Used to be called just that

I owned one of the most modded TRX850 (really TDX900 as i put in a 900 engine in it. Yamaha should make a trellis IL2 1200cc. I would buy it instantly!LOL no. Picked this up at the weekend. A bit of a barn find, she's been sitting in a shed for almost 10 years & in a garden for two years prior to that (oddly about the same time my '93 Trophy was sitting unused in a garden).
Nice little project to keep me occupied.

Nice bike, where did you get that rear mount for luggage/bags and was it simply a bolt on type of thing or a custom job?![]()

I'm thinking of coming back to Triumph, before being seduced by a beautiful Italian I had a Daytona T595,
and I'm thinking it might be less painful on the wrists, hips, and back.

I could buy a T595 for the price of my last full service. In Ducati Alton's defence I did need a new clutch as well.

Very nice project.
I see the bars are mounted above the top yoke. I didn't know that was possible on these bikes. I guess the forks have been pulled through to make it possible. Better make sure there's enough clearance for the mudguard on full compression.

What did it need doing?
Well, it is nearly 20yo so was a little tired. I have gone to town on it, a LOT of time and money spent to go right over it, servicing/repairing/refinishing/upgrading bits and pieces as i go, after i stripped it right down. A lot of new/NOS parts fitted.
It rides beautifully and is even pumping out a very healthy146whp after dyno tuning. Fork spring upgrades and D675 master cylinder have really transformed the bike.
Very happy with it, i will keep it for a few years!
The only things on my list i haven't yet done -
Swing arm/linkage bearings
Rebuild rear shock
Rear hub bearings
Refinish the wheels.
The above isn't urgent, just piece of mind. I will enjoy it for a bit before the next round of work.
