Evening all,

I've had a universal Scottoiler fitted from new on my 03 Sprint without any problems. Following the 50,000km service it suddenly started causing the bike to run roughly, sounding like a compressor. The guys at the bike shop replaced a perished tube without any effect and can't figure out why everything has gone to*****. In the meantime I've had the Scottoiler disconnected and the bike runs like a dream.

Any ideas, similar experiences, solutions?

Rod,
I pulled the Scottoiler off my T595 Daytona to put on my 05 Sprint. The Daytona now is running like a chaff cutter and the guys in the shop reckon I must of half pulled the pressure line out of the airbox. Anyway not to worry, the Daytona's off to join my other bike (Z1502 Kwaka six) in the Launceston auto museum so I wont be riding her for a while.

Good to know that strange things happen to other people as well. Still no closer to an answer at this end but given that there wasn't a problem for 50,000km I'm hoping the brains trust at the dealer come up with a solution soon. Apparently Triumph Australia has told them the Scottoilers should not be fitted to any of the triples. The mind boggles.
