Chris was one of the nicest guys you could meet, a young co pilot who I always looked forward to fly with.
Met him this just morning at our usual bike hangout, on his newly acquired R6. Invited him to join us for our usual PM ride. He didn't turn up.
Apparentently he came worst off in an encounter with an electricity pole or tree.
He was not speeding, and was wearing protection.
I had to fly with him tomorrow and we had to do our Airbus conversion together next spring................
Sad thing is too many of those poles/trees are way too close to the roads' edge. If they are properly sited behind a wall or barrier or something maybe he would still be alive today........
I am real effed up about this. Take care all you guys out there.

I lost a very close friend when I was 19. I was right behind him when he ran off the road; I'm now 46 he's still 19.

So sorry for the loss of your friend and co-rider(pilot).

Take some time to let your head come together before going back to work. Sounds like you cant afford to be distracted.
