rust??

Chaps,

My garage has a habit of leaking after a very heavy downpour which leaves a damp floor for a day or so. Are there any areas of the 06 S3 that I need to keep an eye on in turns of corrosion. I also happen to live right by the sea which doesn't help

I live next to the sea also, The only corrosion I have found has been in the spark plug holes.
Either from washing or riding in heavy rain.

Someone has written in that they found corrosion on the top of the rear shock, I don't have that problem.

I put a coating of Corrosion-X In the plug holes and it seems to have it under control.
Skip the next set of mods and fix your garage.
I would but unfortunatley I rent the apartment and the building owners have already tried to fix it. Something to do with the lie of the land and an overflowing drain system when we have a downpour
Sorry, thought you were the owner.
Mine was one of the very first customer bikes delivered March 05 and I have to say she still lokks very good. No rust concerns. The bolt heads still look the biz too.

When she was new I bought Scottoiler 365 spray (in a yellow bottle) and it has really helped in keep the thing clean and easy to clean.

Same here. Ridden in all kinds of weather from April '05 onwards and stored under a roof in a carport.

No rust to be found anywhere (except the plugs of course). No pitting on the exhaust. Bolts look good. Brake line banjos look good. Rear shock is uncorroded and plating intact. All the usual first suspects are OK.
:upthumb:
I'm keeping her clean with WD40 which should help to reduce any possible corrosion
