l am putting on a new Sparx rotor on my '67 T100 . Do l need to do anything to prepare the rotor or the spindle. do l need any kind of loctite or does it need to be reamed. Is it just a straight slip on with woodruf key and nut tightened down. Also it says you should have .20 clearance but at present its only .15 , is it critical. l thank you for any advise.

GrandPaulZ , right again, everything fitted ok, and l have the .20 gap around the rotor. Mind you the old rotor put up a good fight before it came off!. l borrowed a puller from a club member ( Mighty South London tomcc, founder branch, 60 years old this year l believe), and if did the job. It goes to show that it pays to be a club member and support this forum, carry on the good work Sir!!.

Oh!, l forgot the important part, the Sparx 210 watt stator and rotor kit can be recommended. l now get a charge at 3000 rpm with mainbeam on (halogen) , indicators on ( vital in London) and brake light on, good stuff!.
