Not too many miles and not hard, it only had 4 miles on it.

The seat is firm/hard. It also feels a bit taller, the reach to the ground is a bit more. I felt like I was sitting on the bike not in it. Stock for stock I like the 06 seat better.

Bars are about the same as having risers.

The windscreen is OK if you want a taller one but I think the 05-06 screen flows with the lines of the bike better. It moves the wind up a few inches.

It started a second or two quicker when cold, not a big deal to me.

The brake rotor carriers are silver instead of gold.

Thanks for the report!

Are the front brakes the same as the 05/06 ?
I was going to ask the same thing!! I think it's in the newest Cycle World they say the new Tiger and Sprint have the same brakes for 07 and they're from the Daytona.

Which Daytona? They don't look like radial calipers to me. Maybe they meant same caliper pistons.

Hopefully Triumph has or will phase in the 675 caliper pistons. This would be hard to tell by looking at the bike. The difference is as follows:

The Sprint pistons have a shiny polished yellow (Zinc Chromate?) look to them.
The 675 pistons have a somewhat duller tan (Titanium Nitrate?) look to them.

Anyone that really cares could bring a flashlight to the dealer and look in parallel to the pad backing plate at the edge of the pistons. Maybe you could see a difference.

Thanks for the tips CLB- I'll bring a flashlight when I finally find a dealer with an 07 on the floor...

Orange County Triumph said they have one in, but I won't be through that area for a few weeks. Anyone else in LA area? ;)

Good point CLB. From the December Cycle World:

Lever travel is slightly excessive (they had an 06 testbike) , but this, along with several other items, is going to be improved for 07. So, redesigned brake calipers (similar to the Daytona 675s) should improve front-brake lever feel, while a new ECU will make engine management more accurate for better throttle response, fuel mileage and startup.

They go on to say the engine heat issue has been addressed for 07.

It had the 5/8 master cylinder and there was very little travel with the lever. They didn't have much feeling but this was a very new bike so after it gets a few miles on it may be better.

Mine has the 14mm master cylinder and it feels like a wet sponge. I talked to the dealer about that and he was going to see what they could do. I'll find out tomorrow.
