I've done several brake jobs on cars but never on a bike. Seems easy enough looking at the service manual.

Just wondering if I should lube the parts of the pads that slide into the guides just like you would on a car? Any other tips/advice??

Very easy to do. You don't have to remove the calipers, but you may want to. The manual says to use a very light coating of grease on the slide pins only.

I like to put a little anti-squeal on the back of the pad, too.
