anyone ever done it ?

thought about it but figured the paint might compromize the the helmet material , then with my newest scorpian there was instructions on masking off the vent slides and stuff if one was to repaint .

i'd really like to repaint my hjc full face in jet black with lucifer orange eyebrows to match my new adventurer .

oh and i see from the paint codes lucifer orange is made by IVC ? never heard of IVC , will i be able to obtain it here in the usa through triumph or others ?

If its made from Polycarb, Dyneema, or some other similar composite or plastic, substance DONT PAINT IT. If its carbon find out what has been used to bond the layers. You will probably be ok. If its Good old glass fibre paint away. Or so I'm reliably told.

Certain paints WILL react in a negative way with certain helmet construction materials. Although i could'nt tell you which ones. Maybe a custom painter/artist could tell you. Or you could contact a paint manufacturer, like PPG maybe, or dupont, House of colors.
