quick question ........Is there anything unusual that I should be aware of when I remove the rear fender on my Thunderbird? I am removing both fenders and tank to have them painted.I have not looked at it that close , but curious if there is any problem areas?
Thanks a bunch!

Rear fender has pop rivets that connect fender to a rubber mudguard under the seat. You'll either need to replace them or just do without them.

I had that plastic part painted also.
The difference is subtle.
I think it makes the rear fender look much more complete.

I did disassemble those parts before painting.
Those pop rivets are larger than some, but readily available at any good hardware or home improvement store.
