I'm trying to remove the swing arm pin, but the pin won't budge more than 1/2 an inch. I squirted some grease in the fittings, followed the repair manual, and even tried to use an impact gun to turn it fast enough to get it out; still stuck. The manual says to remove the "tab" washer, but there does not appear to be one. Any help?

I know the swing arm pivot can be tough on the older bikes. I haven't dealt with the later ones ('71 forward) though.

GPZ, got any ideas?

Mine is stuck too. I'm going to probably have to pull the bike down to the frame so I can give the area a good soaking with PB Blaster. My aim is to be able to get the swing arm pivot vertical so the PB can work it's way in.

I haven't tried heat yet.

Will be getting to this in the next few weeks.

Maybe press it out...

It came to me today that I may be able to press it out. I don't have the engine completely removed or the front end disassembled yet though. I just wanted to ensure that I didn't miss anything.
