So I bought a t-rex stand off ebay. The pins that came with it fit, but they only went in about 1 in on either side. I emailed the guy, who was very nice. He asked for the measurements of the pins he sent. They were 28mm and 30 mm according to my calipers. He said he'd send some new pins, which he did and, though they're a little smaller, they still won't go all the way in. So I'm having them machined to fit. My question for those that have a rear stand (any brand) with pins that fit a 1050 S3: what size are the pins you have? I did a search and saw a couple of different measurements.

Your gonna have to do some work. Feel inside the axle (with your finger) and you will find a film around the inside of the axle. It comes from the factory that way and should have been removed but wasn't. I used a heavy grit sandpaper wrapped around a dowel. It took a while but now it fits.

1.100 will go through nice and snug

but you have to remove the film , i used a 28 mm reamer , but then i have a complete tooled machine shop to work in

you can get by with the sand paper method , or call around and see if you can find a machine shop that will let you rent borrow the reamer
most of the shops are pretty nice , if you dont waste their time and are straight forward and to the point

i found my bike leaned a little when i used a 27.5 pin so i actually remade my stand to use a 1.oo inch pin with a sleeve of bronze to get to 1.1oo , and from what i could tell there was a litlle metal along with the ridge.

+2 to the gunk inside the axle- I tried two pins in my rear stand before taking a Dremel too do the inside of the axle. Solid black **** came out and now the pin (origial sixe sent with the PitBull) fits fine.
