Hi All
the stock rear shock on my '06 s3 1050 is pretty much done for at 33k. I'm going through my forks this week, and want to replace the shock. I'm not looking for an Ohlins or Penske big spender, I happily put those 33 thousand miles on a stock shock and am fine with them.

My question is, will the later speed triple shocks mount up on my '06?

any thoughts? comments as to viability of this? Is this plug n play? adaptation needed? not possible?
Or, anyone got a like new 05-06 shock they took off?

I am sure the 2011 will not work .
The mounting bore and length are different .

I am pretty sure that if you could shim the shock to mount, the resivoir would be in the wrong position and contact the undertray and or sub frame .

Race Tech right there in Ca. can set you up with a Gold valve kit including shim pack recomendations for your weight and riding style, this along with a new spring rated for my weight transformed my triple. It's a little fussy working on the shock, mostly have to be clean,clean, but great results and relativly inexpensive compared to new performance shock.
