I just installed a TOR exhaust on my 2001 daytona 955i and i've noticed this small rattling noise when its idling and during low RPMs. I remember reading about someone who thought this was a spark plug knocking, but someone corrected them in saying that it was the cam chain tensioner. So if that's the case, is this an easy fix? How much should i expect to pay at a dealer?

or is this something completely different?

timwu, If you didn't hear the noise with the quiter exhaust then it's likely related to the new midpipe and can. Has the ECU been remapped? Maybe a lean condition.

no, it hasn't been remapped yet. I was going to get it remapped tomorrow, but the thing is, I did hear it a little bit with the stock exhaust on. It just wasn't as apparent as it is now. I'll get the map done and update you guys on the condition.
