As I'm putting my bike away over winter(use my Honda over winter) this would be my first bike I've laid up so after a few ideas as to what to do,ie drain oil/petrol?remove battery,remove plugs to oil bores how far do you go?
It will be on a center stand so I can rotate wheels .

Sounds like you have it all covered ;-)...me, I keep it fueled and taxed ready to go on those dry bright clear fantastic winter days..

I never drain the oil. I change the oil and oil filter on anything that I won't use for a while (cars, tractor, motorcycle, lawnmower) as old oil is acidic.

My original Trident manual also advises:

"Tie bags over the exhaust pipes to prevent moisture from entering"

Never thought to try that.

Thanks,will be put away Sunday as I'll be going to cadwell Friday afternoon as there's a classic bike trackday on.

Before you put it away I suggest you put some fuel stabiliser (I use Sta-bil) in a full tank of fuel and run the bike for a while to flush the carbs with it.

I suffered from carb problems every spring before I started doing this
