1. The engine management system malfuction indicator light (phew, what a monster word) illuminated today when I started the bike after a hard day of work. The bike was standing in cold rain the whole day. Do you think that might have something to do with it?

2. The compression damping adjustment screw on the front forks (the one on the right hand side) won't move more than one turn. I dropped the bike on the track after emergency braking, but it fell on the left side so it can't be that?

What is this? All problems stacking up now? Why? Good thing the riding season is practically over already :( :???:

Without plugging in a code reader, it's impossible to tell what the light means, but if it's running okay, then you're probably good to go. Just had a similar issue with the TT.

Technology is a wonderful thing, but having idiot lights that go off when a gas cap is on crooked, a little water leaks somewhere or whatever - this does not enhance our ownership experience. If it ain't broke, don't tell me about it.

As for the compression screw, what do you mean "one turn?" You mean one click, or one full 360-degree revolution?

You can thank our wonderful EPA for that. That behavior, like many of lifes frustrations, is mandated by the government. Todays electronics could give us a full diagnostic readout but the EPA is afraid on an informed consumer. They want you to take it to the dealer to diagnose a loose gas cap. For a heathly fee of course.

That's so cynical. You know they have nothing but your best interest at heart... :hihi:

Limey, I dedicate this to you.

Don't let the sarcasm get to you, take it in stride.

I too was put off at first but these posters (guys) are consistently answering questions for us less knowledgeable folk.

Trust in info you are given and ignore what you find offensive.

There is alot of knowledge amongst this group who've responded to your post.
