I have a 2005 Bonneville and was tinkering with having the engine powder coated black. Has anyone done this? If you have, I would appreciate if you share your photos.

I had a Buddy do them in trade for a seat that I had for an Enfield. You can expect to pay anywhere from $75-$150 for everything, I'd guess. The headers will need to be ceramic coated. Yes, the pipes are our D&D Blacks.

Black pipes and can's compliment's of a 6.00 can of bbq and stove paint from walmart, a breeze to touch up as well. Just cover background area with newspaper, spray, and fire the bike to bake on the finish :)

These pipes only needed touched up 2 times in very small area's in about 8000 miles.

The cost to powder coat the engine is the smallest part of the expense. FIRST, you have to remove the existing powder on the engine after a total teardown. If the engine powder is the same as the speedy front wheel (think it is); that is some stubborn sh!t to get off.
I paid $100 to powder 2 wheels and risers and $75 just to strip and blast that front wheel (my labour).
