Hello all,

What does everyone use to wax/polish their painted plastic pieces? Regular car wax? Thanks in advance!

I use Pledge furniture polish, keeps the dust off and shines a treat. A lot of the bikes shops in NZ use this to keep a gloss on the bikes on the shop floor

i use either Mr. Muscle (just like Pledge) or Plexus which is really good. They use it to clean F16 pilot canopies

Treehugger, please tell me your using MR Sheen and not MR Muscle as the latter is caustic oven cleaner, MR Sheen is my polish of choice. :???: :-D

I use standard car polish (Mer). Probably a bit more fiddly. And more expensive. In fact, I'll be trying Mr. Sheen next time.

I use the Honda polish. I think they discontinued the old formula they made for environmental reasons, but they have a new one out.

Pledge works amazingly well ... cleans, shines, protects, fast, no residue ...

I use a product called "Zymol". Not only does it polish the bike beautifully, but the finished stays polished looking longer.

I've always used Meguires.

I think I go a bit further than most with the process, but I find if I put the effort in once a year washing, polishing and waxing its worth it and protects the paint very well and makes it easier to clean when I do get around to it every month or so.

Riding everyday means my bike doesnt stay clean for long and we are in severe water restrictions now. Having said that its guaranteed to rain within 48 hours when I do wash it, so maybe I should do a tour of the country.
