i am about to put the rings on my pistons and then clamp. anything i should take notice too.

Heavy D,

Well you know the usual stuff I guess. Make sure the rings
are right side up. Expand the rings evenly over the piston
when installing them. Do not twist the rings over the pistons
in a spiral fashion, as this sets the rings into a different shape.
Space the ring gaps away from each other. 120 degrees is the
general rule.

And of course, apply a little oil on the rings so they slide
easy in the ring compressor.
