I do particularly dislike the way the headlights are asymmetrical now, but I do find them adequate if not brilliant. The fog lights don't seem to do much and I’d love to be able to have them on with the DRL, mainly because I hate the one headlight look on low beam.Ah....TEX = Triumph Explorer. I forgot to mention that I have a Toura-tech (knock off) quick-detach light guard on the bike for off roading. That could be causing reduced lighting. One thing I dont' like is how the lighting is very poor when leaned over around a turn even without the TT guard.
I have thought about adding aftermaerket lights to help out.... I'll be honest I don't ride much at night so I have no reference.
It's awesome you're still riding at 70... in my 50's and hope to be riding just like you at your age. Love the 900...it's exactly what I was looking for. Great for on and off-road and not 600 pounds!
Stay safe out there.
Pic of guard I have.
Impressive. Personally I prefer to avoid roads like that, certainly the worst bits, and am happy knowing I could if I had too, but it is satisfying to do it once in a while. You're a much better rider than I am - or maybe I just worry too much about preserving the bike.A quick video from NSW Australia. You may have up the quality
Nice pic, looks like a beautiful spot.
