Phantom Black versus Jet Black?

My best attempt at an explanation is that "Jet Black" is a 'pure' black, while "Phantom Black" has silver 'flakes' (flecks?) in it.
If you see them side by side the difference is obvious and easy to spot. However, when looking for parts I specifically ask about this because in pictures it's not always to tell them apart because of the quality of the picture.

My R 3R is phantom black and my wife's Bonnie is jet black .
Rocket is metallic the Bonnie's is gloss plain black.
In photos together they at a distance look the same but close up there is a difference .
