I saw the one in the General Forum but it didn't do me much good. Then, I saw the one in the 600 forum. Well, why the hell don't we have one!!!!

I sure would like to know what front signals swap out with the 955. Who knows what parts will fit where? List them:

Dave (or anyone else for that matter!)

I've had a few problems related to my D900 fuel tap - specificallly, the vaccuum-operated switch stopped working, starving the engine of fuel. I've had to run it on Prime. Is this the sort of thing the Sprint Mfg item would cure do you know?
Or is my problem down to a kinked vaccuum pipe as I've read on another thread?

To make this post more like a "parts swap" item, I had no problem fitting a centre-stand off a Trophy(?) Sprint(?) to my D900.

hi spitfire,
sounds an aweful lot like the pinched vacuum hose to me I have had this happen a couple of times on my speed triple, but it usually happens when removing the tank and reinstalling, at least in my case.

I had the same fuel starvation (vapor lock) problem with my D1200. Thought it was a pinched vacuum line or water in the tank at first but it was not. After replacing the petcock (leaking anyway), removing the in line mini fuel filters at the carbs, replacing the fuel and vacuum lines, I finally figured out that the diaphragm valve within the filler cap was the problem. I tossed the diaphragm, problem solved. Two years later and it's never had a hiccup since. If you do take apart the cap be very careful and pay close attention to all the small parts and springs (don't ask why).

Keystone-I am pretty new to Daytona, I just bought a 1200SE and have yet to ride it. I have been doing tons of surfing and have found a site that was a big help with any questions you may have. They were extremely responsive and seem to really know their stuff.

Copy, paste and check them out. Send them an email with your questions and they will help point you in the right direction. My 1200SE ahs Triumph six potters on front. daytonacharlie has '02 Busa brakes on his 1200. The site mentioned above says they have a FOUR PAD caliper for that Suzuki. They may be able to dial that in. Good luck! :)

Swappable parts? 1200 Daytona

Kawasaki break levers.
Seat of any T3 triumph
Bars off early Trident ( lower rise than later tridents )
The oil filter is common to big kwacks
The carbs are the same as on early GSX1100R
Sidepanels of any early T3 as long as you change both

Thats all I can think of right now.

Nickwiz,

You mention that the carbs of the early GSX1100R are swappable with the D12. What years? I'll be pleasantly surprised if these are a direct swap, as the Daytona 1200 has unique intake and symmetrical port spacing that I haven't seen on another brand to date. If you mean the GSX1100's use Mikuni BST's, I agree. Actually, many of the 90's Suzuk's use Mikuni BST's in 33 and 36mm. They need to be respaced though. Just curious.

Maybe this is not the place for this.... but....

Query; Can I swap a newer single sided swingarm onto my '02? how big of a hassle? I know, buy a newer one if i want the single, but where is the fun in that? Plus I have an '02, so, there is that going for me :hammer:

It is now confirmed as I just got done w/ the complete mounting and road test last night. TT600 wheels will work for the 2002 955 DSSA if anyone is needing spare wheels for track days.

I had thought about it, and I even bought a lot of the parts to do the swap, but the more I think about it, the more I like my DSSA. It makes my Triumph that much more unique. If you want the parts I have, pm me, and we can maybe make a deal.
