this is not a sprint query as such , I have a Nolan n102 helmet and want to paint it the same colour as my sprint ,have heard many people say don't paint helmets , but wondering , has anybody painted a helmet ? if so what kind of paint did they use ?

They do it all the time I use basecoat clear but I've also done it in rattle cans

You get a better job using basecoat though when doing multiple colors which is the way I always do

There are a lot of techniques you can do also carbon fiber water drops etc you can learn on you tube that's how I learned and it's cheaper than art school

Need to be careful what paint you use and what protection coatyou lay down on the lid first. Some paints can actually eat your helmet shell

thanks for that , I will check with Nolan to make sure I know what the shell is made off .

+1 Rex some paints have a corrosive effect on a helmet shell.
