HI,

I have just ordered an Oxford paddock stand for my 04 Daytona 600. Does anyone know if i can use it as it is or if i will need to fit bobbings to lift the bike up.

Cheers,

Andrew

If you ordered one requiring the use of bobbins, then the answer is yes, you will have to put on bobbins. This only sounds like a smart alec response- they make them with an L shaped bracket on top for use with swingarms and no bobbins, and they make them with a bracket only useful with bobbins. There's yet another type of stand for use with Giles adjusters, but that's yet another option you don't likely want.

When I say "they," I don't specifically mean Oxford, but I would be very surprised if they are any different from any other manufacturer of stands.

The stand I saw on their site looked like it comes standard with rest that do not require bobbins. They also do sell bobbins, so they probably also make grasp for them. Did you not see pics of the stand before you ordered?
