so folks, i went down, hard, i wasn't doing wheelies at 100 i wasn't even doing a hundred, i wasn't even riding hooliganistic, i wasn on an on-ramp, and then the gravel hit, and i jsut lost it,, the rear fished from side to side, till it finally highsided as my rear hit the curb, i thought i had it, but alas,, my ankle is almost disconnected from my leg, and my bike has miraculously no plastic damage, just the clutch cover and sliders and collector. i was doing like 40 and bam,, it happens sooooo fast, and then i layed there on the ground and waited. then the ambulance lady who was kind enough to not chop all my gear, wouldn't let me eat the cheeseburger i just picked up. i'm lucky,,, just a remider to myself and all out there.

however, you can see how bad the skyking slider is bent,, i am sure it saved my bike from massive other damage

Holy***** man, hope you're doing ok. Man, it just seems like everybody is going down lately. I better get some pretty good leathers then before riding season starts in the spring!

Holy ***** JR, where'd this happen. Hope you are doing okay and have the assistance of some nifty opiates.

Really sorry to hear that my 'ol riding partner, but glad to hear that you are okay although somewhat banged up for a while.

You look to have minimal damage done to the bike. The look of your clutch cover looks just like mine when I went down this summer, a dab of touch-up paint was all that was needed. Thank goodness for the crash sliders..

Keep me posted on how you are getting on, keep safe and get better soon homie!

That sucks man, sorry to hear it. Whay type of boots did you have on? My sliders just shipped today. Hopefully I never have to use em. Let me know if your frame is bent at all or if it's just the slider. Good healing, take it easy on those pain killers, seen em ruin a lot of lives. (hope it's not oxycontin)

Hope you heal up well, I just got the pin pulled out of my hand a couple of days ago

I have to admit, Braking my hand was only half as bad as the rehabilitation.
Having the 5 inch pin pulled out was certainly an interesting moment...

My Doctor was a 32 year old B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L blond woman, Who, I am sure got her revenge on her last boy friend through me.

Heal up fast and get moving ASAP

Those Skyking's did their job, Didn't even brake the turn signal, I see you lost your brake peddle though, Maybe someone with new rearsets can help you out.

Glad your still here with us man. Rest up, and don't push your ankle too much, too soon. You will regret that in the future. Take it easy and let it heal properly. And use this as an excuse for plenty of bj's throughout the recovery process. " It hurts here honey, can you kiss it better? "

hey guy's, thanks for the kind word's, i know many of you who have been in a similar position at some point. basically what happened was that i was leaned way over left on the onramp to 76 from 23, and really not alot of gravel, but certainly enough, i lost grip and it slid out there, the l i just tried to bring it back, and then it fished the other way, and it fished back and hit the curb causeing a highside. my ankle was between teh curb and the bike, i was wearing my north face ice storm boots, basically snowboard boots with a sole, which i believe did a alot compared to what would have happened had i been wearing sneaks.. as far as injuries go, i tore all the ligiments and tendons connecting my foot to my leg, doc said that he was supprized it was more less attached,. alot of ripped up stuff, it hurt so bad,,, then it just got worse. then they gave me that happy sauce, and it all went fuzzy. we'll see about what has to happen to the foot, probably some surgery but hopefully i'll be able to get away with just physical therepy. but i absolutely credit my good health to full riding gear, if i hadn't been wearing a padded jacket and my helmet and 3 pairs of pants, and all of that, i really think i'ld be in alot worse shape. don't worry rude, they demoralled me up,. and now i get the perc's. so although i unfortunatley had to endure a spong bath by my girlfriend, :-D i am slowly recovering from the event.
so now i've got some time to hang out with a miling maching for a custom rear brake lever. , anyway, thanks for the thoughts, happy holidays
