While we all know that Nov. 11 is Veteran's day in the U.S., not everyone knows that Nov. 10 is the USMC Birthday. This year marks 231 years of service around the world.

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to any other Marines on the forum.

Service rivalry aside (ex army..) Happy Birthday guys. A good friend from high school joined the Marine reserve and recently lost his life in Iraq. It doesn't matter what branch insignia you wear, when a comrade falls everyone feels it. Take care and stay safe.

I still read the Comandant's message and cut up a cupcake with a sword each year. My German Shepards get the first piece. Improvise, overcome, and adapt!
