I have my 2006 Speedmaster in storage, and I have an opportunity to get a good metric socket set. Can anyone tell me the socket sizes required for the rear axle spindle nut, and the front counter sprocket nut, please?

thanks

The front sprocket nut it's 36mm. Sears has em for something like $6-7. The rear axl i can't remember, but the average socket set goes to 18mm and anything larger you buy seperatly unless you can find a larger set. I never seem to see sets with larger than 18 tho. The socket i use for the axl is an old socket i had that i think was a SAE socket but fits. You might wanna think about getting a digital caliper. they come in extremely handy and can be has for as little as $15, which is what i paid and it's quite accurate. You'll also need one if you do your valve adjustments yourself.

Ok, i just went out and measured the rear axl bolt and it's 24mm.
