After installing these rearsets and putting a few miles on them, I came up with one more (final) mod!

On the brake side, the OEM bracket has a small tab (yellow arrow) which protrudes out and could, in a panic stop, cause your boot to not fully engage the brake.

Therefore, as this part is no longer required, and looks kind of funky hanging down there, I removed it. In addition, the Norman Hyde kit comes with nice Allen head bolts, but as the lower one also protrudes out towards the brake pedal….I changed the bolt out with a button head.

These pegs are fantastic.

I've had N-H rearsets since 2004 and really like them also. I would not even consider going back to the stock footrests. Cool refinements...
