A quick question for anyone with access to older Triumph repair manuals (the oldest one I have is for 1957).
I've got a TR5 bottom end that has non-shell bearing connecting rods (plain bearing) and I'd like to know the correct torque specs for the con rod bolts. Hoping the torque spec is listed somewhere.
Can anyone advise?
Any and all help appreciated.

I use 25 lb/ft with loctite on the threads.

MAKE DARNED SURE your rods are near perfect, and your mains are extremely clean. Those suckers will wallow out pronto with just the slightest roughness.

If you can, go with newer, shell insert type, rods.
